| A cairn is typically a pile of stones that serves as a direction marker ("Hey, go this way!"). My
Cairn consists of stones surrounding a moving LED sign which contains messages relating to life and the world of art.
It takes about five minutes to read the entire text as it flashes by and then repeats itself. I’d like to see various cairns and
other objects (like a To-ji gate) with moving LED texts written by artists and poets. They could serve as wonderful contemplation
places – counterpoints to the frantic age in which we live.
